About the Event
Ambo Dance Theatre is kicking off their 2021 season with their mixed-bill production Reduced to Noise: A NACHMO-Inspired Collaboration. This 100% digital show features five new works of choreography created by company members and directors alike that will be available for streaming at one’s leisure April 9-18, 2021. Tickets are Pay-What-You-Can in order to make dance affordable and accessible.
Each of the works featured in Reduced to Noise was created as part of the National Choreography Month (NACHMO) January Challenge where choreographers are tasked with creating a new piece of choreography using a series of daily prompts for inspiration and movement generation. There will be two versions of the show available for streaming: one with solely the works of choreography back-to-back in a traditional show format, and another version with behind-the-scenes footage and choreographer commentary to introduce each piece.
