Ambo Dance Theatre

Ambo Dance Theatre's Improvisational Company is a multigenerational group of dancers who train in Group Compositional Improvisation, an offshoot of Viewpoints, that emphasizes the creation of fully-composed dances extemporaneously. Dancers train in strategies for being responsive to their fellow improvisors in order to make choices on the spot that are supportive of the group and the work they are creating together, helping to create a cohesive experience for audiences.

Ambo's Improvisational Company officially formed in January of 2022. They host classes and workshops, produce performances, and do community outreach. Their performances range from traditional, proscenium-style presentations, to more out-of-the-box immersive and interactive events!
