Eszti has been dancing for more than 10 years, studying all styles with modern, tap, jazz, hip hop and Pom. Also did cheerleading, dance team while also been trained in Bollywood and salsa. And soon hopeful upon joining the high school dance team. Eszti has a strong passion to dance and is always interested in trying new moves. She is always training for some show. She loves challenging herself and putting her all in each dance, her strong determination showing throughout each dance. Eszti loves being apart of Ambo Dance Theater!

Rylan has been dancing for over 10 years. She has been trained in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary, and modern. Rylan enjoys learning and practicing all forms of movement. She has trained in various studios throughout Louisville but Ambo is 100% her favorite. She loves the community that Ambo has provided for her and is excited for her future opportunities at Ambo and in the dance world. Dance has given her a safe space to be vulnerable and creative and she hopes to continue dancing as long as she can. Rylan loves Ambo’s message and is happy to be  involved in making dance more accessible in Louisville.

While Carly has only been dancing for 4 years, she truly found her passion. She puts so much enthusiasm into her dance and in helping the company whenever possible! She has trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, and Hip Hop but found her calling in Modern. She has been a part of Ambo’s Junior Company since the program was born in Spring 2021. Previous to her training at Ambo, she was in the Dance Program at Noe Middle School for 3 years and briefly trained with Thrive School of Dance. Now she is solely dedicated to Ambo and cannot wait to see what comes next for her!

Mia Henry is a freshman at Atherton High school.  She is apart of the health sciences program offered there, in hope of being a healthcare worker in the future. She has been dancing for 4 years and her favorite styles are modern and jazz. She currently trains in the Ambo academy program where she studies jazz, contemporary, acro, and ballet alongside modern training in the Ambo junior company. Prior to Ambo she studied dance at the dance program offered at Noe middle school. Mia loves improving her dance skills and being apart of the company!

Aila Kolehmainen has been dancing for over ten years, and she has taken classes in the style of tap, hip hop, modern, jazz, pom, and ballet! After moving to Louisville, she began dancing at Dance Fusion in which she danced at for three years! Once entering Noe Middle School, she met Ms. Amberly, and this is where her love of modern dance began. She is now an eighth grader at Noe attending Manual next year and has been dancing at Ambo Dance Theatre since April of 2021! Her passion for modern dance is still as strong as ever. She’s always trying new things and loves to expand her dance knowledge at Ambo! Also, she has made so many new friends and has found a community and is so excited to continue dancing with the company!

Alyssa Ernst is in 8th grade at Noe Middle School and an incoming freshman at dupont Manual High School. She has been dancing in ballet, jazz, modern, lyrical, contemporary and hip hop for 9 years, 7 of those years on the competition dance team at Dance Fusion. She has been part of many regional and national competitions winning multiple awards and recently won National Champions!! She is a part of the Noe dance program and most recently, she is a dancer at Ambo Dance Theatre where she has developed a love for modern dance!  Alyssa loves the Ambo Dance community and friendships she has made there. She is so excited to continue her passion of dance!

Helena Smith-Pohl is an eighth grader at Noe Middle School. She has been dancing most of her life, training in the styles of ballet, jazz, tap, modern, hip-hop, and musical theater. Helena currently dances at Noe Middle School, as a part of their performing arts program. She enjoys all styles of dance, but especially loves modern. Helena loves dancing at Ambo Dance Theatre because of the safe environment provided by all the amazing people there. Outside of dance, Helena loves hiking, hanging out with her cats, and playing tennis with her family. Though her future high school does not offer a dance program for her, Helena is excited to continue dancing with Ambo Dance Theatre during her high school career! 

Madalyn Durst is a freshman at YPAS majoring in Musical Theatre. She has been dancing for five years in many different styles including jazz, modern, tap, ballet, contemporary, and different types of ballroom styles. Madalyn is a member of the Oldham Co. performance troupe and dances there 5 hours a week at minimum as well as being a dancer at Ambo Dance Theatre. As well as dancing, Madalyn is also a musical theater performer and can be seen performing in many shows in the community. She hopes to continue dancing through her next years of high school and hopes to go to college for musical theater or dance. Madalyn is a passionate and hardworking performer and is grateful for all the opportunities Ambo has provided for her!
